Using Therpol®, it became possible to reuse chromed/metallic and painted ABS parts from automotive parts, which creates new parts that are also painted and chromed and have the same mechanical properties as objects injected with virgin material.
In addition to being a material for immediate disposal after use, as there was no destination for these parts, they are large quantities of materials that are destined for common disposal and, consequently, have polluting characteristics for the environment, at the end of their life cycle. Now these parts are back on the market with high and regenerated properties for new applications.
The big difference is the possibility of completely reusing contaminated materials (chrome and paint) that previously could not be recycled due to contamination and the low properties of the injected parts. With this, we have a product of recycled origin with superior properties, and highlighted by – Upcycling.
